An application can be refused for a number of reasons, including:
- Subsidy request submitted after works start
- Incorrect data supplied when making the original application
- Non-compliance with current regulations

If you would like to receive a subsidy, suggest to your subcontractor that they become a partner. They can contact us (using the online contact form or by telephone on +352 40 65 64 63) and we will give them the information they need about the procedures to be followed. However, do not place your order until your partner has submitted a subsidy request for your works.
You may use your usual subcontractor. If they are already a partner of the "enoprimes" programme, they may request the subsidy at once. If they are not yet a partner, you should advise them to join the "enoprimes" programme. They can contact us (using the online contact form or by telephone on +352 40 65 64 63) and we will give them the information they need about the procedures to be followed.
Choose a partner listed in our directory. These companies will do whatever is necessary to obtain a subsidy.
You will find the complete list of approved partners who are members of the "enoprimes" programme on enoprimes.lu. Any of these companies will request a subsidy on your behalf and will handle all the procedures required to ensure you receive it.
The subsidy is paid into the account nominated in the online application.
Contact the "enoprimes" team or the partner in charge of your application, who will be able to verify the payment status.
The subsidy will be paid in the form of a bank transfer three to four weeks following approval of the application.
All the information relating to the completeness of your application will be communicated to you on the customer portal, or through your partner if you have used one to make a request.
The application will be approved once all the required documents have been returned and the "enoprimes" team have checked and validated the supporting documentation submitted with the application. After that, the subsidy will be paid within three to four weeks.
If you have made the request yourself, you can track the progress of your request through the customer portal. If you have utilized the services of a partner, it is up to them to notify you of progress.
If you are undertaking standard works, each measure is handled separately. You must therefore request an separate offer for each measure. The various subsidies will be paid to you when the works are completed and the projects finalized.
If you are carrying out special works, it is possible to make one application that includes a number of measures. This does not, however, apply automatically in every case.
You must sign the document entitled “Agreement on the Reporting of Energy Savings” (Energy Saving accounting agreement) included in the subsidy offer and return it to us through the web portal (directly or through the partner responsible for the application).
Unfortunately it is not possible to request a subsidy if the works have already been started. The subsidy request must be submitted BEFORE placing the order.
By signing the Agreement on the Reporting of Energy Savings (Energy Saving accounting agreement), you transfer the right to declare the energy savings you have achieved to the obligated parties that are members of the “enoprimes” programme. You do not have the right to sign an agreement with any obligated parties not belonging to the "enoprimes" programme.
You are responsible for knowing who is authorized to sign documents in your company or municipality. Generally, this is a technical or site manager.
Different documents are required, depending on whether the request is standard or special. In all cases, the application includes:
You will be notified of all the supporting documents required when the offer is made to you.
Energy savings are calculated by comparing the post-works situation with a reference situation, whether this be the pre-works situation or a standard situation defined by legislation or the market. It is necessary to define the scope impacted by the measure, a time period and representative conditions for the comparison.
Fortunately, the calculation for many standard measures is very simple and the amount of energy savings and the associated subsidy can be simulated using a simple form, and the request then made online. Non-standard projects require what is known as a “special” request.
Of course, and provided the auditor’s calculation complies with the regulatory requirements observed by the "enoprimes" programme, the subsidy offer will be produced even sooner. Please submit your requests to us through our web portal.
If the energy savings are higher, that’s great for you! If they are lower, that’s a real pity! On our side, the "enoprimes" unit reserves itself the right to check the energy savings actually made and to amend the amount of the subsidy upwards or downwards if necessary. However, this check is undertaken within a reasonable time after the end of the works, and over a reasonable period. For large projects, the conditions for the check are specified in the subsidy offer. This is to encourage applicants to calculate theoretical energy savings in the most correct manner from the outset.
No. This calculation is used only to notify the competent authorities of the project, and enables the "enoprimes" unit to calculate the amount of financial support. The "enoprimes" unit does not take responsibility for the actual achievement of energy savings by the measure, as these depend greatly on the works and effective implementation.
The amount of the subsidy is determined on the basis of the volume of energy savings generated by the project. The calculation formula for standard measures is defined by Grand Ducal Regulation. For special measures, an appropriate calculation method must be applied, but this is generally an engineering-oriented method. The general framework is also set by the Grand Ducal Regulation. The subsidy may not exceed the total investment connected with the measure. For some special applications, "enoprimes" may provide an energy service in addition to the financial subsidy, as an incentive to adopt other energy-saving measures.
The timeframe depends on the complexity of your project and the time it takes for us to obtain the necessary information. You should allow at least a few days for simple applications, but complex applications can take much longer and require working meetings between the "enoprimes" unit and you, and if necessary the partner handling the application on your behalf.
In principle, there is no difference in the sense that the "enoprimes" programme supports energy efficiency projects that are classified in the regulations as both standard and special measures. The difference lies in the processing of the application. In the case of standard measures, you can simulate the amount of your subsidy in the simulator and receive a subsidy offer directly. For special applications, you need to provide us with information that will enable us to analyze the eligibility of your project and calculate the associated subsidy. It will therefore take us at least a few days more to provide a response.
Both types of project may be applied for online. You can either apply yourself through our my.enoprimes portal or through one of our partners who will handle the procedures on your behalf.
In this case, please submit what is known as a “special” request.
You must have a customer account on the my.enoprimes portal to be able to request a subsidy directly from us.
It is up to you to decide if you wish to work directly with us or if you need assistance from one of our partners.
You will find them in the Directory of Partners. These partners are authorized to handle both the technical and administrative aspects of applications. Under certain conditions, these partners may offer you our subsidies directly.
You will find them in the Directory of Partners. These partners are responsible for easing the administrative burden on you and serve as intermediaries between the "enoprimes" unit and you.
“enoprimes” partners are trained to manage their customers’ applications and must adhere to the procedures defined in the Energy Efficiency Directive. Any company permitted to work in Luxembourg may become an "enoprimes" partner.
You must be in possession of a subsidy offer before launching your project. In the case of standard measures proposed in our simulator, offers are issued immediately. You will find your offer in the online file on your my.enoprimes portal. For other so-called “special” measures, please allow a timeframe dependent in line with the complexity of your application. We therefore encourage you to think ahead and be certain to have received our offer before signature of the order for the planned works (order = signature of quotation, written order, payment of a deposit, purchase of material etc.).
You have two alternatives when it comes to making a request. Either you make a request directly through your customer account on the “my.enoprimes" portal or you ask a third party to make this request on your behalf. This third party may be a company already partnering the programme or one that may become a partner. The partner will handle all the administrative procedures relating to the request. However, only certified "enoprimes" partners are authorized to compile the technical file and offer you our subsidies directly, and then only under certain conditions.
