The enoprimes programme was launched in April 2015 following the publication of the Grand-Ducal Regulation on the functioning of the mechanism of obligations relating to energy efficiency. It provides financial assistance when carrying out certain energy renovation works.

With enoprimes, your saving will be twofold: your energy renovation works will cost less and you will reduce your energy consumption.
The enoprimes programme was launched in order to grow awareness for the necessity to reduce energy consumption. The European Union set precise objectives for the purpose of reducing overall consumption by 2020. Each Member State has participated in this effort.
In Luxembourg, ambitious goals have been defined and transposed into the Electricity and Gas Acts as well as in the Grand-Ducal Regulation of 7 August 2015. The text encourages energy suppliers to help their customers to carry out the recommended energy renovation works through the payment of a premium for achieving energy savings, for instance.
It enables you to receive financial assistance for your upcoming works aimed at improving your home’s energy efficiency, provided that certain eligibility conditions are met.
Several conditions must be met in order to enjoy the benefits of the enoprimes programme. The building to be renovated must be located in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The home must also already exist at the time of submitting the application for a premium for energy savings.

The person who invested in a renovation/improvement of energy efficiency is entitled to a premium. If you make the investment as a tenant, you will be entitled to a premium.
Premiums are not granted for new constructions. However, you may submit a premium application if you improve energy efficiency after your home has been completed and after you have moved in.
No, the amount of the premium only depends on the planned works, the situation before and after the works. However, the amount of the premium may not exceed the amount invested in the works.
The co-owners’ association can obtain a premium in the context of renovation works. The premium will be allocated by the co-owners’ property manager in proportion to the one-thousandths.

Energy savings are expressed in kWh or MWh but do not necessarily correspond to the energy savings shown on the annual energy invoice thanks to the works carried out.
The active and incentivising role is a role that energy suppliers or one of their partners must justify with evidence. Any direct contribution made to the recipient is considered an active and incentivising role. The incentive may take on different forms (financing, advice, miscellaneous support, etc.) and the recipient must be informed of such before placing an order for works.

No, if you obtain an enoprimes premium, you cannot submit another premium application to another energy provider under the mechanism of obligations relating to energy efficiency. The energy saving achieved with the completion of a project can only be subsidised by a single provider.
Yes, you can also apply for State or municipal assistance, even if you have already obtained an enoprimes premium. The various types of assistance can be combined.
A single project in a given housing may only receive one enoprimes premium. If, however, you improve the energy efficiency of the same project, you can once again submit an enoprimes application, given that energy savings will likely be achieved as a result of the improvement.
The enoprimes programmes provides support to private individuals and professionals, industries and non-State institutions.
enoprimes is the subsidy programme set up by Enovos to meet the obligations contained in the European Energy Efficiency Directive. With enoprimes, renovation and energy efficiency improvement works are subsidised.
